The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) Cybersecurity Framework is a set of guidelines designed to help organizations identify, manage, and reduce cyber risks. The framework offers five core principles: security control selection, security control implementation, security measurement and analysis, and risk assessment and management. NIST developed the framework in response to a broad range of cybersecurity challenges that organizations across all industries face today.
